Mandie Fredeluces goes deeper to inspire Maui at Skin Diep Ink

“You are already beautiful.”

Mandie Fredeluces says she just wants to enhance what’s already there and help you not only look your best, but also save time and money.

“I work to help busy moms lift and sculpt their face using paramedical and cosmetic tattooing,” she explains. “I’m able to uplift the moms of Maui, and we all know moms rule the world and a happy mom is going to translate into happy breakfast, happy mornings, happy kids, happy husband, happy life!”

Skin Diep Ink Draws from Decades of Expertise

With that mission in mind, Fredeluces took her 20 years of beauty experience — including more than 10 years in the resort/spa realm — and started her own business, Skin Diep Ink, located at 73 Pu‘unēnē Avenue in Kahului.

“I have witnessed great insight into elite customer service,” she recalls. “I actually take that energy and care when it comes to communicating with my own clients. I feel like it really makes a big difference to them.”

Supporting Breast Cancer Survivors

In addition to the makeup (one-time and semi-permanent) along with cosmetic tattooing for eyebrows, eyes, lips and cheeks, Fredeluces offers special paramedical services for breast cancer survivors and others.

“With the paramedical tattooing, it includes scar camouflage, stretch mark camouflage, areola pigmentation and reconstruction using different modalities and techniques,” she says. “It’s inspired me because of the breast cancer survivors; I’ve had so many of my loved ones affected, and I’ve seen them survive and thrive, so I want to celebrate that and bring more of that to Maui.”

Motivating Beauty Industry Beginners

Fredeluces also wants to inspire and support young people who are interested in the world of permanent make up (known as PMU) but may not know where to start. She serves as a mentor to help guide them and find their way as beauty artisans.

Since I’ve been in the beauty industry for so long — I’ve worked everywhere from front desk to makeup to esthetician to hair to spas to now finally having my own business — I’ve been able to navigate with my heart as well as my skill set,” explains Fredeluces. “I help mentor them, giving them courage, giving them advice, telling them what I would do as their PMU big sis.”
